Privacy Policy — ClipCheck

This Privacy Policy explains how the ClipCheck application ("the App"), a product of
CoinTranscend ("we", "us"), handles your data.
Plain-language summary: the App collects nothing, stores nothing, and sends nothing.
It analyzes the video you choose entirely on your own device. It has no internet permission, so
it is not merely a promise that your video is not uploaded — the App has no technical means to
upload it.
1. We operate no backend and collect no personal data
We have no server. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no database, and no telemetry. We do
not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information about you. We receive nothing when you
use the App, and we have no way of knowing that you have used it at all.
2. Your video never leaves your device
When you select a video, the App reads it, analyzes it in your device's memory, and shows you the
result. That is the whole lifecycle.
This is enforced by the App's design, not by policy alone:
- The App declares no internet permission. Android grants network access only to apps that
request theINTERNETpermission in their manifest. ClipCheck does not request it. Without it the
operating system blocks all network access, so the App cannot transmit your video, your results,
or anything else — to us or to anyone. The App works with the device in airplane mode. - The App contains no networking, analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code of any kind.
3. We request no permissions, and cannot browse your library
The App declares no Android permissions at all.
Video selection uses the Android photo picker, a system component operated by Android rather
than by us. You choose one video in that system screen, and Android grants the App read access to
that single file and nothing else. The App cannot see, list, or open any other photo or video on
your device. It has no storage permission, no camera permission, and no location permission.
The App also accepts a video shared to it from another app (the Android share sheet). The same
principle applies: it receives only the one file you chose to share.
4. Nothing is stored
The App writes no files, preferences, caches, or databases. It contains no code that stores
anything. The analysis result exists only in memory while you are looking at it, and is gone when
you close the App or analyze something else. There is no history, and nothing to delete — which
also means results are not recoverable once dismissed.
5. No third parties
The App integrates no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks, no analytics providers, and no
social logins. Nothing about your use of the App is shared with anyone, because nothing about your
use of the App is ever collected.
6. What the App reads from the file you choose
To produce its analysis, the App reads, from that one file only: the video's pixels; its container
structure; and its embedded metadata, which can include creation time, camera make and model,
encoder identification, GPS coordinates if the file carries them, and any C2PA Content Credentials.
This information is read in order to be analyzed and shown to you — it is what the forensic
result is made of. It is not transmitted or retained.
7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children. Because
we collect nothing, we hold no children's data.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Because the App collects
nothing, we do not expect substantive changes unless the App itself gains new capabilities. Any
version of the App that begins collecting or transmitting data would require a new policy and a
clear disclosure before it did so.
